South Australian service station mogul Yasser Shahin is selling a $4.5m Burnside mansion just four months after his company bought it.
The stunning resort-style home at 4 Elizabeth Court, Burnside has hit the market without a price guide, and its selling agent said buyers have the option of purchasing it complete with furniture and artwork.
Sharyn Yelland of Giordano & Partners sold the home in May, and is now selling it again with Grant Giordano as support agent.
“We sold it for $4.5m plus with approximately $100,000 worth of custom-built furniture and artwork,” Mr Giordano said.
With the company no longer having need for the property, it is back on the market.
While Mr Giordano did not disclose who owns the home, according to Land Services SA the property sold in May for $4.5m to Niyabi Pty. Ld of 270 The Parade, Kensington – the head office of the Peregrine Corporation.
Documents sourced from the corporate regulator ASIC list Yasser Shahin as Niyabi Pty. Ltd.’s director and sole shareholder.
Mr Shahin is the executive chairman of Peregrine Corporation and, with his two brothers, Samer and Khalil, shares in a combined $1.93bn fortune, according to The Weekend Australians’s March Richest 250 list.
Peregrine Corporation has annual revenue of more than $2bn across the OTR convenience store chain, Smokemart and Giftbox, as well as The Bend Motorsport Park and a range of properties.
Mr Giordano said the property sold in record time in May, and that the home was attracting solid interest this time around.
“We sold it in a day,” he said.
“We had some very interested purchasers who couldn’t act as quickly last time and we’re very excited to bring them through.
“We have four different clients flying in specifically to see this property.”
The home features 655sqm of indoor and outdoor living space, five bedrooms, an office/studio, multiple entertainment areas, an infinity pool and custom-built furniture throughout.
“In terms of the renovation and the custom furniture that’s been fit to that renovation by the group that did it, it’s absolutely special, not to mention it’s over 2100sqm, three levels and a true rejuvenating property in multiple ways, from the pool to the infra-red sauna, to the jacuzzi to the division of living areas across three separate levels,” Mr Giordano said.
“It takes in many different architectural styles, from Japanese minimalist to contemporary Scandinavian to tropical indoor/outdoor open spaces.
“It’s a great property and it’s changing the style of Adelaide architecture – it’s different in a good way.”
