BIOGRAPHY
Matt Bomer had some success on the New York stage until he made his television debut with a small role in the series All My Children . This led to the recurring role of murderer Ben Reade in The Guiding Light in 2002. More successes on television followed including parts in Tru Calling in 2003, Chuck in 2007 and the lead role in Traveler , also in 2007. In 2009 , he had the lead role of con artist and thief Neal Caffrey in the series White Collar until 2014. Bomer appeared in supporting roles in films such as the 2012 comedy-drama Magic Mike and its 2015 sequel. He won a Golden Globe and received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy for playing a writer for The New York Times in the HBO drama film A Normal Heart (2014), where he shared credits with Julia Roberts and Mark Ruffalo. Bomer made a guest appearance in the fourth season of the FX horror anthology series, American Horror Story , and for its fifth season was part of the regular cast.
