Lawsuit Filed Against Lil Wayne by Former Bodyguard Alleging Assault and Threats in 2021

Allegations have surfaced against Lil Wayne by his former bodyguard, accusing the American rapper of physical assault and threatening him with a gun.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Carlos Christian claims Wayne, aged 41, wielded a semiautomatic rifle and threatened to shoot him during an altercation in December 2021.

The bodyguard also alleges that the musician, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., punched him in the ear during the incident, which occurred at Wayne’s residence in Hidden Hills, CA.

Christian contacted the authorities at the time and accused Wayne of threatening him with an AR-15, but sources close to the rapper denied the incident, stating that Wayne did not possess a firearm.

The bodyguard took the gun threat seriously due to Wayne’s prior prison sentence for weapons charges.

Christian claims to have suffered medical expenses, lost wages, and emotional distress as a result of the alleged altercation, and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

Deputies responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon at Wayne’s Hidden Hills, California home around 1.40pm.

Upon arrival, deputies mentioned that a Hispanic male security guard reported a verbal altercation that turned physical with the black male resident.

An argument erupted when Wayne accused the guard of taking photos and leaking them to the media, as previously reported by TMZ.

The guard states that Wayne instructed him to leave the house during the dispute, but when the guard headed to the bathroom, Wayne brought out an AR-15. The guard alleges that he then fled to the community’s guard shack and contacted the police.

However, upon police arrival at Wayne’s $15.4 million home, the rapper was no longer present.

During that time, sources informed TMZ that Wayne vehemently denied the accusations and reiterated that he did not own a firearm.

Sheriff’s deputies expressed skepticism about the guard’s account, noting his lack of physical marks or injuries from the purported altercation and his reluctance to press charges against the rapper.
