BIOGRAPHY
Joshua Bassett was first introduced to musical theater at age 7. Since then, he has starred in more than 30 musical productions and acted in numerous commercials and short films. Bassett’s first major role was in 2018, when he played the recurring role of Aidan Peters on the Disney Channel television series Stuck in the Middle . It was then that he caught the attention of Disney producers for a new musical project. Thus he was cast in his first leading role at the age of 17 as Ricky Bowen, the male lead, in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019-2021). Bassett co-wrote “Just for a Moment” with co-star Olivia Rodrigo for the series’ soundtrack. In early 2020, Bassett signed a recording contract with Warner Records and released his first single, “Common Sense”, on music platforms on April 3, 2020.
