The news of the death of American Hip hop producer, Turn Me Up Josh has saddened many.
Rapper Lil Durk took to Twitter to confirm the tragic news, writing, “Rip turn me up josh smh.”
The renowned producer and engineer, whose real name was Joshua Samuel, was signed to Winners Circle Entertainment and had close collaborations with Durk and numerous other rappers.
In the wake of his tragic passing, fans, friends, and former collaborators have taken to Twitter and Instagram to pay their respects.
Turn Me Up Josh played a significant role in the production of Durk’s The Voice (Deluxe) edition and held major production credits across the hip hop genre, having worked with artists such as Drake, Migos, Nipsey Hussle, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, and Kehlani.
Hailing from Houston, he gained prominence through his engineering of Migos’ breakout hit, “Versace,” and was recognized with a Grammy nomination for his work on Drake and Durk’s chart-topping collaboration, “Laugh Now Cry Later.”
