BIOGRAPHY
At a very young age, Dylan O’Brien was already immersed in the world of cinema through his parents’ professions (a father, a cameraman and a mother, a former actress). Born in New York, he grew up in New Jersey until the age of twelve. Furthermore, it is what we can call a “Tutti Frutti”, it has in fact several origins: Irish, English, Italian and Spanish.
In 2005, he decided to enhance his YouTube account by posting videos in which he portrayed himself with his friends. Thanks to this, he gets noticed by a producer and director who offers to collaborate with her on a web series. In the meantime, he finished high school brilliantly and decided to study at Syracuse University. However, he withdrew and moved to Los Angeles to try a career as an actor. Dylan O’Brien meets an actor who introduces him to a talent agent.
His agent pushed him to audition for the fantasy series Teen Wolf in 2010. After passing four auditions, he finally obtained the role of Stiles Stilinski, the best friend of the main character Scott McCall played by Tyler Posey . The series lasts until 2017. At the same time, the New York native was hired to step into the shoes of the hero of Labyrinth , alongside other young actors like Kaya Scodelario , Thomas Brodie-Sangster , Aml Ameen , Ki Hong Lee or Will Poulter .
The feature film gave rise to two sequels: Scorched Earth (2015) and The Deadly Cure (2018). Staying in the mainstream realm, Dylan O’Brien joined Mark Wahlberg in the disaster film Deepwater , then fought terrorism in American Assassin . In 2018, he dubbed the irresistible Bumblebee car . Two years later, he tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters in Love and Monsters . The following year, he reunited with Wahlberg for the SF thriller Infinite .
