Adam Blumenthal and Annabelle Shamir list ‘Rose Bay’s finest penthouse’ with $18m guide

A luxury penthouse, which is owned by entrepreneur Adam Blumenthal and crowns Rose Bay’s new Opus building, has come to market with $18m price expectations through TRG founder Gavin Rubinstein.

Coined as “Rose Bay’s finest penthouse” by TRG, who have installed their HQ on the ground floor of the same address, the four-bedroom, plus study, residence has been meticulously crafted with high-end finishes using a palette of pale timber, natural stone and marble coupled with high tech inclusions throughout.

Blumenthal, co-founder and chairman of Everblu Capital as well as cannabis company Cresco Pharma, along with his wife Annabelle Shamir, had the foresight to buy the two level-four apartments off-the-plan at 722 New South Head Rd three years ago for a total of $11.5m.

Under the design prowess of award-winning architects BUREAU SRH, the two floor plans were amalgamated into one glamorous 508sq m residence with panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline.

Among its features are a private rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen and spa, which is the ideal spot for entertaining with an even more enviable backdrop.

The home also boasts four car spaces.

According to records, the pair acquired the apartments in the same year they dropped about $30m on a Bellevue Hill trophy home, bought from fashion designer-turned-lifestyle blogger Stephanie Conley-Buhre in mid 2021.

For the Blumenthal-Shamirs, that grand Victoria Rd home also joins a Southern Highlands retreat in High Range, bought in 2020 for just under $4m — along with a slew of commercial properties owned by the enterprising pair said to be worth in the tens of millions of dollars.

Its spacious open-plan living and dining area has deep grain oak joinery, a premium gas fireplace centrepiece as well as a full-width balcony overlooking Rose Bay Beach.

Framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, the landmark views capture both the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

In the state-of-the-art kitchen, a vast island breakfast bar joins Gaggenau gas appliances, an integrated Sub-Zero fridge and freezer plus a Vintec wine fridge.

The main bedroom has a designer dressing room, elaborate ensuite as well as access to the north-facing balcony with the second bedroom. Each room has big windows and custom built-in wardrobes.

Additional features of the penthouse include ducted airconditioning, smart home technology, sophisticated lighting design, an internal Miele laundry, European oak floors, lift access plus secure parking with a double car stacker.

One of only five in Opus, the property is close to all the sought-after boutiques and eateries of Rose Bay, harbour beaches, parklands, and ferries.
